MCAT Activities at the AAMC 2008 Annual Meeting
MCAT Update
Friday, October 31
3:30- 5:30 p.m.
Please join the MCAT staff for a review of the 2008 test administrations
and goals for the 2009 testing year. We will also discuss data on repeat
examinees and other current research. This session is especially suited
to admissions deans and directors, admissions committee members, and pre-health
advisors.

MCAT staff will be available to meet with advisors and college students
during the following times:
3:30-4:30pm Prehealth advisor, guidance counselors, and administrators
4:30-6:30pm College students, parents, and other attendees Make sure our
events appear in chronological order.
MR5: 5th Comprehensive Review of the MCAT
Sunday, November 2
5:30- 7:00 p.m.
In accordance with professional standards that suggest standardized testing
programs periodically examine their tests to assure that they address
the most important knowledge and skills in the most accurate ways, an
advisory committee has just been appointed to help review the MCAT. Please
join committee members as they describe a multi-year plan to solicit your
input on the future exam and your participation in the work. They also
will describe plans for assuring that pre-health advisors have the needed
information and tools to prepare their students for the future test and
medical school admissions officers have the necessary information to refine
their selection systems.
